MechWarrior 5 is an online multiplayer free-to-play game that is based on action and vehicular combat. It was launched in September 17th, 2013 for Windows PC. It is developed and published under Piranha Games and is powered by CryEngine 3. It is the fifth instalment to the series “MechWarrior”.
The gameplay is mostly about controlling large bipedal combat vehicles known as Battlemechs to compete against other players. The winning teams receives experience points and ‘C-Bills’, the in-game currency to purchase and customize your vehicle. It features several different types of modes like; Deathmatch, King of the Hill, and Conquest mode. Under Conquest mode, each team is supposed to hold places across the map and secure the place. It also features a system of factions in which players can join with other factions or teams to control other worlds on behalf of their own factions.
During release, the pre-purchase units provided three Founders package that included a Legendary, Elite and Veteran advanced beta access. It also offered exclusive perks as per price. This included in-game currencies, the Founder’s Mech and also a few months of premium account access. Since then, a lot of additional packages has been released for the game keeping in mind the interests of the player and MechWarrior community.
