The Escapists 2 is a single-player as well as multiplayer roleplaying strategy game developed under the team of Mouldy Toof Studios and their publishers Team17. It is the second instalment of the game from its prequel ‘The Escapists 2 (2015)’. The game was released for Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in August, 2017 and then for Nintendo Switch and mobile platforms like Android or iOS in the subsequent years 2018 and 2019.
The gameplay is pretty decent involving a top-down perspective. The player has control over an inmate who has to complete daily routines associated with the prison and also complete quests of the fellow inmates and while doing so look for opportunities to escape the prison. The player is given certain crafting skills such as; shovels, taser guns and dummies. The craft items can be used for distractions. And if a player is caught escaping, the progress will all be lost and he/she will be sent to a solitary confinement. The game has some certain additional features that includes; different varieties of prisons, vehicles and facilities. There are also some additional combat features like; target lock, blocking and executing light and heavy attacks.
The game comes with a local, Co-Op and an online multiplayer mode where you can team up against different players and escape the prison together.
